The Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club has announced its Summer Schedule for 2010:
Club Camp – Session I – June 28th - July 1st Session II – August 2nd & 3rd, August 9th – 12th Session III – August 30th – September 2nd
Camp runs from 8:00 – 4:00 PM, activities include recreation, fitness, arts & crafts, short field trips and reading and math. Cost is $10 and scholarships are available. More detailed information above.
AUGUST 4TH – The club visits Yankee Stadium as the Yankees host the Blue Jays, spend an overnight at Sacred Heart University and tours the Times Square Area. The Yankee trip is $75 or all four trips for $125.
AUGUST 12th - FDR Project Visitors Center and Robert Moses State Park – Learn about the Power Dam & enjoy a swim and picnic. Trips are $30 or all four for $125. Session II participants of Club Camp will attend this trip.
AUGUST 13th – 9:00 AM Annual George Goult Memorial Slow pitch softball tournament for boys and girls entering 5th – 12th grade. Make your own 10 person team.
AUGUST 17th & 18th - Whiffleball World Series 6:30 – 8:00 each night.
AUGUST 19th - Mount Cascades Water Park The club goes to Cantley, Quebec with lots of great water rides and slides.
AUGUST 20th – Outdoor Game Night, 6:30 PM Capture the Flag, Bocce, Croquet, Chase in Father Martin Park.
AUGUST 24th – 1:00 PM Family Club Picnic – treats, games, fun & friends, invite your parents as well.
AUGUST 25th – Club Car Wash from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
AUGUST 26th – Alex Bay Mini-Golf and Keewaydin State Park
AUGUST 27th – Super Summer Bingo at 7:30 PM.

*OBGC Club Summer Camp 2010*
We will be holding 3 Sessions of Summer Camp:
Session I - June 28th thru July 1st Session II - August 2nd & 3rd, August 9th thru August 12th Session III - August 30th thru September 2nd
Camp Hours will be from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with Drop-offs between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and Pick-ups between 4:00 and 4:15 PM. There will be a morning snack provided and drinks will also be provided. Each participant is to bring their own lunch. This Summer Camp is for ages 6 - 16. The activities will include baseball, basketball, soccer, touch football, whiffleball, game room events, arts and crafts, computer activities, small field trips, fitness room activities and more. All participants will be required to read for a half hour each day and participate in age appropriate math exercises a half hour each day as well.
Sign-up’s are limited. Cost is $10 per session or $25 for all three sessions. Scholarships are available. All Sessions will include field trips to the Ogdensburg Public Library and the City Pool. Session II will include a Field
Trip to the Robert Moses Power Dam and Massena Beach. For more information or any questions please contact the OBGC at 393-1241. We will need a permission slip filled out for each participant (available at the Club) and to know which Sessions or that all Sessions are being requested. Age appropriate activities will be provided for younger members. |
