Dave shea Sportsmanship award 2010

The presentation of the Dave Shea Sportsmanship Award concluded the clubs program year for 2009– 2010.  This year the award was presented to Shannon Tooley. The award is based on participation, sportsmanship and respect of staff and fellow members.  Shannon was selected by club staff as the winner and has been a long-time club member and five time finalist for this award previously.  The award is named after Ogdensburg Journal and Advance News Sports Editor Dave Shea who has served the club many years as a volunteer as well as providing excellent coverage of the clubs events in the local newspaper.  Other finalists for the award were Jed McRoberts, Peyton Lalone, Conner Hannan, Justyn McCormick, Zach Sharpe, Riley Luckie, McKenzie Holland, and Courtney Sherwin. The Anne Lynch Camp Award was also presented to Anthoni Pope in memory of the former club member, athlete and supporter.  OBGC Youth of the Year Jake Herzog was also recognized for his accomplishments.  Alicia Sharpe was awarded the Russ McDonald Memorial Service Award.  Jake Herzog won the first J. Russell Phillips Memorial Scholarship.  The Russ McDonald Sports Camp Awards went to Marcus Johnson, Kate Loffler, Kiera Johnson, Joey Dalton, Jenn Dalton, Victoria Baker and McKenzie Holland.
