Dave shea Sportsmanship award 2009

The presentation of the Dave Shea Sportsmanship Award concluded the clubs program year for 2008– 2009.  This year the award was presented to Owen Luckie. The award is based on participation, sportsmanship and respect of staff and fellow members.  Luckie was selected by club staff as the winner and has been a long-time club member and finalist for the award previously.  The award is named after Ogdensburg Journal and Advance News Sports Editor Dave Shea who has served the club many years as a volunteer as well as providing excellent coverage of the clubs events in the local newspaper.  Other finalists for the award were Seth Pinkerton, Shannon Tooley, Riley Luckie, Jenna Tulip, Courtney Sherwin, Jake Herzog, Andy Bell, Kinnon LaRose and Cody Putney. The Anne Lynch Camp Awards were also presented to Courtney Sherwin and Ryan Adams in memory of the former club member, athlete and supporter.  OBGC Youth of the Year John Cooper was also recognized for his accomplishments.  Dawn McDonald was recognized for contributions to the club.  Danny Whitcombe won the first Russ McDonald service award.  Ryan Premo won the Keith Knowlton Tennis Award.
